Soon-to-be yoga teacher (RYT-200)
Tina Disch is the mother of 2 grown sons, Kenney and Arron, and a grandmother to Harper Marie, 4yrs and Elijah Grant, 2 yrs . Her yoga practice started 2 years ago with Tom Pitcher, her significant other, and she has blossomed into a better SELF as a result of yoga--she is healthier and happier! She is currently in the YTT-200 hr program at Body and Soul in Dubuque, through November 2019.
The yoga practice that Tina wishes to bring to the community is a dynamic, physical practice, which synchronizes breath and movement. This produces an internal heat, designed to purify the body. This yoga is great for building core strength and toning the body.
Tina looks forward to seeing you soon!
Jessica has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching yoga for almost 4 years. She received her RYT 200 from Body & Soul in Dubuque, IA in 2015. Today, her yoga practice is both on and off the mat. She loves the physical practice, but most of all, she loves using that physical practice to slow down the mind and connect to the body’s breath. Finding this connection is true bliss!
To add to the beauty of movement powered by breath, she encourages the practice of gratitude within her classes, often weaving that theme through the asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath work), and meditations.
Jessica is also a Spanish and English teacher in Highland, WI. Outside of teaching and practicing yoga, she enjoys time with her family, especially her 9 nieces and nephews, and her dog, Bella. Jessica's other passions are traveling and playing the piano.
Nadia began practicing yoga in 2001 and enjoyed the relaxation, stretching, strengthening of the body and centering of the mind. She has been practicing on and off for many years either with a studio or doing her own thing. In May 2017, she decided to try hot yoga at B-1 Yoga located in Dubuque, IA and enjoyed the heat combined with a gentle flow that the Flow 1.0 and B26 classes provided.
Nadia completed the 200 hour training with B-1 Yoga studio in April 2018 and shortly thereafter become certified with the Yoga Alliance. She taught at B-1 during Summer 2018 as well as a beginner series in Platteville. Recently, she has been practicing Baptiste style yoga at Ignite Studio in Dubuque, IA.
Nadia enjoys learning about multiple yoga modalities and incorporating pieces that she learns into her classes. She enjoys teaching a gentle flow, adding props to make poses accessible to everyone, and helping her students build strength and flexibility over time. She is excited to bring what she has learned to the community.
